Commonly used materials are the teflon (PTFE) pans, easy to use, convenient to clean, non-toxic and rarely stick! The big downside is the environmental issues that come to play in manufacturing and recycling telfon pans.

There are some discussions going on on these pans and intense heats. PTFE could release some harmful fumes so let’s keep the temperatures to normal cooking degree! Just don’t go to crazy temperatures and you should be fine.


Ceramic pans solve this problem but, depending on the quality, can be less convenient to use regarding the non-sticking ability, scratching and chipping of the ceramic surface.


Another option I really like are cast-iron skillets, this classic tool to prepare food must be the best option for ease of use, scratching, chipping, heating and of course non-toxicity.
